Description
Mogao Grottoes, hailed as the most valuable cultural discovery of the 20th century, is located in Dunhuang at the western end of the Hexi Corridor and is famous for its exquisite murals and statues. In December 1987, Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Gansu province, a treasure house of Buddhist art, was inscribed on the World Heritage List.
