The pyramids and other funerary complexes located here, including the Great Sphinx of Giza, have stood for thousands of years and are a testament to the remarkable engineering skills and artistic achievements of the ancient Egyptians. However, climate change poses a potential threat to the preservation of these ancient wonders. Rising temperatures and extreme weather events, such as sandstorms and flooding, can cause erosion and damage to the structures. Additionally, changes in water levels and salinity in the Nile Delta could impact the surrounding landscape and affect the stability of the monuments.
