Title
Coral Reefs off of Roatan, Honduras
Description
The reefs off of the small island of Roatan remain some of the best preserved reefs around the world. The fish life and coral thrive in these protected areas and provide some of the best scuba diving in the world. While they remain in good shape today, the threat of climate change looms still and threatens to destroy these fragile ecosystems. Along with various reefs, this island sports a few sunken ship wrecks that add more intriguing dive sites to the area. It is an important part of the natural world that is under direct threat from climate change.
