Built during the Ming Dynasty, the ancient city of Pingyao includes ancient city walls, streets, shops, Urns, corner towers, and entrances; it has a land area of 225 hectares and is a complete complex of buildings. The architecture of the ancient city of Pingyao is unique and embodies the essence of ancient Chinese central city architecture.
