Qingcheng Mountain is located southwest of Dujiangyan City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, 68 km east of Chengdu City and 10 km southwest of the Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project. The scenic area covers an area of 200 square kilometres, with the highest peak, Laojunge, at 1,260 metres above sea level. The mountain is divided into the front and back hills, which are surrounded by undulating peaks and lush forests. Verdant trees surround the mountain, always green in all seasons, and the peaks are like the outline of a city, hence Qingcheng Mountain.
