From the mid-16th century until 1999, Macau remained under Portuguese rule, leaving behind a rich legacy of Sino-Portuguese architecture, including streets, residences, religious, and public buildings. These structures not only bear witness to the exchange of aesthetics, culture, architecture, and technology between the East and the West but also demonstrate their fusion.
