Documentation can be found at http://github/MetsExport/ Cultural Landscape of Honghe Hani Rice Terraces Immovable Culture Heritage The Honghe Hani Rice Terraces, located in Yunnan Province, China, are a spectacular landscape meticulously carved by the Hani people over more than 1300 years. These terraces sprawl across the slopes of the Ailao Mountains, covering an area of 17,000 hectares. In 2013, this unique agricultural cultural landscape was recognized as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, serving as a model of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. The presence and sustainable development of the Terraces are of great significance for achieving the SDGs. They not only contribute to ecosystem and biodiversity conservation (SDG 15) but also directly relate to achieving zero hunger and food security (SDG 2) and ensuring sustainable management of water resources and sanitation facilities (SDG 6).
