The National Museums of Kenya (NMK) is a state corporation and it manages all the regional museums, sites and monuments in Kenya. It is established by an Act of Parliament, the Museums and natural heritage. Nairobi National Museum and the headquarters of NMK are located on Museum Hill together. The purpose of NMK is to enhancing knowledge, appreciation, respect and sustainable utilization of these resources for the benefit of Kenya and the world, for now, and posterity. Nairobi National Museum aims to interpret Kenya’s rich heritage and offers a one-stop for visitors to sample the country’s rich heritage both for education and leisure. In addition to the museum, visitors are treated to a variety of shopping and dining facilities, as well as botanical gardens that offer a serene environment.
