Description
The Royal Albert docks were an important maritime centre and strategic war hub. Opened in 1846, the Docks has become iconic for its artistic attractions, bars and culture. The docks received royal recognition in 1988 for its maritime history and world heritage status in 2004. In recent years, it has hosted music concerts in the nearby M&S arena and the Eurovision Song contest by the waterfront.
