Documentation can be found at http://github/MetsExport/ Ritan Park Immovable Culture Heritage Ritan Park, also known as ‘chaoritan’, is located in the southeast of Chaoyang Gate in Beijing. It is the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties offered sacrifices to the sun, the God of Ming Dynasty. It was originally built by Xiao Yingdi of the royal guards of Ming Dynasty in 1530. To the west of the altar, a square platform is made of white stone. The surface of the altar is red glazed in the Ming Dynasty to symbolize the sun.
