In Chinese<\/strong>, Jiuzhai (Ji\u01d4zh\u00e0i) means nine villages, and Jiuzhai valley refers to the place where nine Tibetan villages used to be located. Jiuzhai Valley has an incomparably beautiful waterscape: the lake is as gorgeous as hidden emeralds, the waterfalls are like splashing pearls, and the colorful forests beside the water are like brocades.Once you visit Jiuzhai Valley, you will never forget it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is speculated that the formation of most of the lakes in Jiuzhaigou is due to the calcium carbonate contained in the water.
In ancient times, when the earth was in the ice age, the calcium carbonate contained in the water could not condense and could only drift with the water. About 12,000 years ago, the calcium carbonate in the flowing water became active after the climate warmed up. Once it encountered an obstacle, it would adhere to it and gradually accumulate, forming milky white calcium ridges in today’s Jiuzhaigou. These ridges Accumulated to form a barrier lake. That is the so-called “Haizi”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The landscape of Jiuzhaigou was formed in the Quaternary ancient glacial age, and a large number of Quaternary glacial relics are preserved now. Because it is rich in calcium carbonate, crystals of milky white calcium carbonate can be seen at the bottom of the lake, on the bank of the lake, and on the banks of the lake. However, the running water from the snow-capped mountains is clear and filtered through layers of ladder-shaped lakes, making the water more transparent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jiuzhaigou <\/strong>Lake is rich in calcium carbonate, giving it milky white crystals at its base. Melted snow and flowing springs ensure the water’s clarity, while layered filtration creates a stunning blue hue. Colorful sedimentary stones and algae contribute to the vibrant underwater scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The<\/strong> picturesque landscape features a reflection of blue sky, white peaks, and green forests, making Jiuzhaigou a breathtaking location. With its barrier and glacial erosion lakes, it is often hailed as “the best water in the world.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
