Cath\u00e9drale Notre Dame de Paris is considered a historical and cultural gem of France and the world. It is a treasure of French Gothic architecture and is a renowned house of worship in the Christian world. The cathedral church in Paris is the most famous of the Gothic cathedrals of the Middle Ages and is distinguished for its size, antiquity, and architectural interest. Notre-Dame lies at the eastern end of the \u00cele de la Cit\u00e9 and was built on the ruins of two earlier churches, which were themselves predated by a Gallo-Roman temple dedicated to Jupiter1<\/sup><\/a>2<\/sup><\/a>3<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
