Welcome to this online exhibition to explore the Forbidden City, one of the world’s most iconic cultural heritage sites.

Introduction: The Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, is located in the center of Beijing and was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. For more than 500 years, it has been the ceremonial and political center of China. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of China’s civilization, architecture and artistic heritage.
However, this historical treasure is facing climate challenges.
